ITS HOLIDAYS!

March 4, 2009, Wed

WOOHOO, its holidays already! In fact it has been exactly a week since holidays started. And boy has it been good :D    How i wish everyday could be a holiday, HAHA. oh crap, better stop dreaming and wake up!!

So anyway after the last paper, I played soccer with classmates and someothers at the school court, under the freaking hot noon sun, spoiling my beautiful skin complexion as a result! (just kidding)

And yeah i guess im left with 6 weeks of holidays for now, and I have lots of stuff to be doing, like NPAP, Ctss Speech Day Parade, and many many other stuff spread out the 6 weeks.

Hopefully I’ll get to spend more time with Amanda too during this few weeks, but she’ll be going to Myanmar for a week on a CIP trip soon. nooooooooooo. Oh well, but i’m sure we’ll find time for each other somehow. Right?? :D

Anyway im looking forward to Youth Fellowship again this Sat at Uncle Edwin’s place (Yishun) where we’ll be having some mini games competition like Speed Hoops, Speed Soccer and Speed Frisbee! Sounds cool huh? Hopefully more people come.

Anyway i finally got my hands on the Genting pictures (1st-4th Jan) and i guess i’ll upload some of them, for everyone’s viewing pleasure.

V-DAY

February 16, 2009, Mon

So last Saturday was Valentine’s Day, the overrated and overcommercialised day where couples conquer and roam throughout the streets of Orchard Road. It is also the period of time when lives of many flowers come to a sorrowful end as they are sold to the hands of eager boyfriends wanting to gain points from their girlfriends (hehe that was my Dad’s line). However, in the current economic recession in Singapore, this would help boost the spending of the economy…(okay fine, i think i’ve just been studying too much for Macroeconomics)

back to my important blog entry, so anyway Amanda came over after her dance in a pool of sweat, HAHA just kidding. And she washed up and dumped her stuff here.

I hoped you like my present for you :D

we then rushed down to Cathay to catch our 4.25pm show, Slum Dog Millionaire. It was a really fantastic show about this indian boy who grew up in the slums of India, and participated in the Who Wants to Be a Millionaire show, and he was caught and suspected for cheating before the Final question. and basically the show was about how events of his life helped him to answer to each question.

After the show we heard food calling us so we went to eat Shokudo at Raffles City Shopping Centre, where we had Rosti :D and some other food, and not forgetting the case of the flying green tea cup, HAHA.

This was followed by window shopping, and we then headed to the Padang where we rooted ourselves for the next hour or so and had a good talk, enjoying the nice breeze, beautiful night view of the towering sky scrappers and of the awesome company with each other.

After our dinner was digested, we decided to embark on Round 2 where we made our way to TCC to have nice drinks and wedges. However, to our dismay, most of time spent there was waiting for the food and drinks to arrive for their devourment.

And so that basically sums up my wonderful Valentine’s Day :D

I hope you had a wonderful time too :D

Goodcaffeine :D

February 7, 2009, Sat

hmm..its been awhile since i last posted, and i know this blog is kinda dead. I wonder if anyone still bother to come here and read.

anyway it has been a busy past few weeks which chinese new year and stuff. but the good part is that all tests/projects for this semester has been completed :D with the exception of DSS Test which is on the upcoming monday. hopefully all goes fine :D

so the next week would probably be mainly revision, and im so looking forward to the upcoming Holidays :D . my last paper is on the 25th of February! hehe. Time really flies, and soon its gonna be the end of my first year in Ngee Ann.

So anyway today i met up with some ex sch mates for soccer at clementi, which was really good. we played rather well considering the last time we met up was in December. First we played against this group of 4 consisting of this uncle and his son/nephews, but they left soon after one of them tripped and sprained his ankle =.=

Next up was this group of rugby players from northbrooks sec who happened to be nearby at Pei Tong Primary.

Yeap so anyway it was a fantastic 3 hour exercise under the scorching hot morning sun and now im slightly burnt, argh..

After soccer i rushed home and went for Youth Fellowship :D which was pretty good although the number of people who attended were kinda few. But Luke brought 5 of his tuition kids and it was nice meeting them and playing captains ball :D

In the evening after YF, I went back with Amanda to her place where we commented our first ever session for our top secret operation SAG at Serangoon stadium (oops did I just announce it to everyone !?! HAHA), which consisted of jogging a few rounds around the track. This was followed by an awesome dinner of wanton noodles and fried dumplings, both Indian and Chinese. (heehee inside joke). And not forgetting, good company with The Girlfriend.

Yeap so that sort of sums up my day.

oh by the way, recently i’ve been playing Mafia Wars on Facebook and im now level 22! hahaha its really addictive i tell you.

hmm..im drinking coffee now, good caffeine indeed :D

January 27, 2009, Tue

Its been really long since I’ve updated, so here’s what I’ve been up to the past two months!

  • Genting holiday with Amanda
  • Back to school (hmm.)
  • One year anniversary!
  • Chinese New Year

The genting holiday was pretty amazing although we barely got onto any of the outdoor rides because it was misty throughout the stay! But hanging with Amanda and having buffets every other hour more than made up for that. I shall be going back SOON (hopefully) to reclaim those rides that escaped me.

School has started, and its been pretty boring although friends are making it better. On the npcc side, things are picking up and hopefully I get to be what I would like to be for the parade!

On the Amanda front things are pretty slow though, because she’s busy and I’m busy and there’s just no time to get together for an idividual date. But Chinese New Year holidays made up for it because she got to go visiting with my family and I. Her presence even helped me reap an added benefit in the form of an “extra” hongbao.

I just went over to her house today to hang; together we played Left for Dead which is a pretty exhilarating game except for the fact that the mouse is for right handed people and using it gives me tons of difficulties. Left handed people are prejudiced against :(

Left for Dead ftw!

I am definitely not looking forward to school tmrw, but cest la vie. The weekend shall be my incentive to get through the rest of the week. Plus, anyone has valentine day ideas? Valentine’s day is so commercialised but I’ve got to do something anyway, so if you have creative and fun ideas please tell me.

(I’m sure those who know me will know that I have no creative sense to speak of. Unless its about soccer strategies)

PES 2009

November 12, 2008, Wed

Havent been touching wordpress for quite sometime lately due to laziness, being busy and blah blah blah. School has been alright so far, and its already halfway through Week 5 already.

Thankfully a new form of entertainment has made its appearance recently, and that is none other than       PRO EVOLUTION 2009 :D

the game is much better than FIFA 2009 and i got a Logitech Controller too so we can play multiplayer to kill the boredom.

credits to Joshua who bought it from Bukit Timah, hahaha.

pro-evolution-soccer-2009-20080820040038947_640w1

Caught the Quantum of Solace over the weekend with Amanda @ GV Marina too. The show was pretty okay, with all the action scenes and stuff. But in my opinion the storyline was abit dumb especially towards the end, and not as good compared to Casion Royale

qos

okay thats all, shall blog another time soon, the next few days would be rather busy.

It’s been so LOOOOOOONNNNNNGGGGGG since i used wordpress

October 23, 2008, Thu

Wow its been really long since i logged into wordpress to blog. Anyway my 7 weeks holidays are over, sadd. Hmm..so let me recollect what i did/what happened..

Sandcastles

September 23, 2008, Tue

Last saturday my church had Youth Fellowship where we had this sandcastle building competition amongst ourselves at East Coast, which was really enjoyable. I’ll let the pictures do the talking.

Tung Lok “Ease Cloast”

September 19, 2008, Fri

Today my family went out for dinner to celebrate my brother’s upcoming birthday (tmrw actually) at Tung Lok @ East Coast.

So being a Singaporean, my dad decided to be kiasu and make a booking, and his conversation with the phone receptionist was really interesting.

Receptionist : “Hi, Tung Lok Eees Cloas”

Dad “What Its Closed??”

Receptionist “Tung Lok Eas Cloast”

Dad “Huh? you’re closed tonight?”

Receptionist “No, Tung Lok Ease Cloast”

Dad “Oh! Tung Lok East Coast!!”

haha what goood engrish.

so anyway dinner was quite good, especially the ice cream puffs served during desert, which my brothers and I gladly helped ourselves too, even going for seconds. The service was quite good too with the waitresses constantly changing your plates every minute or so and offering to change the plates of dishes to smaller ones to make spac for more food.

oh ya recently my grandma went for some eye cataract operation and is on the road to recovery now, so she wears sunglasses everywhere she goes now, which is pretty cool.

Recently got results on monday, did fairly okay i guess except for some modules like getting D for Business Statistics =.= oh well at least got an A for OBSE =) the slackest module ever in the semester, and also thanks to the slack teacher who comes late and releases us very early and takes coffee breaks during class! LOL.

Then there was timetable selection too on wednesday, and managed to get into TB05 together with Andy, Joshua, Ngai Kay the Hulk, Terence, Criss and Jia min to i think.. Well once again as this is Singapore, you have to act fast for everything, including selecting a good timetable and getting into the same class as your friends, especially since business studies has quite a large number of students. Therefore I went online about half an hour earlier and called Andy to confirm the class we were supposed to choose. Got a huge scare when i couldnt enrol into TB05 the first time as it was Full! but somehow managed to get in the second time, Phew!! considering it was only like 2.32pm and the selection starts at 2.30pm. so yeah TB05 =)

So far holidays have been good so far, managed to do quite some stuff, oh ya still need to get a new pair of shoes.. 1 month more left for the holidays, hopefully time passes slooooowwwwwwly.

Looking forward to YF Meeting tmrw! (I miss you Amanda..and i cant wait to see you tmrw. im looking forward to your exams ending too :) and im sure we’ll have lots of fun and more time together enjoying ourselves. Love ya!)

HBC Soccer Invitational 2008

September 11, 2008, Thu

6th September 2008

So last saturday my church organised this mini soccer tournament which 9 teams participated in. My team played quite good, but were quite inconsistent and lost several matches and got like 5th/6th in the group stage i think, thus failing to make the semis. Anyway it was really good meeting new people from other churches and playing soccer of course. Fortunately my left ankle didnt suffer and further injuries, though i took several hard knocks here and there plus a kick to the right ankle from an opponent’s clumsy tackle. But overall nothing serious :)

oh ya, i watched bangkok dangerous today.
